French Bread, French Toast

If you are like me you are trying to keep your New Years resolution of being healthy or loose weight.  Well sometimes you need a little something sweet for breakfast.  Johnny and I are planning in having a "lighter" version of this recipe tomorrow morning. I made this right before the new year and before our resolutions started up, I must say it is pretty dang delicious :)
You will need:
1 loaf french bread
1 egg
1/4c milk
dash of vanilla
butter
syrup
optional: powdered sugar
Slice your bread into thick slices and mix the rest of your ingredients together in a bowl

Dip your bread in the mixture and place on skillet, top with butter and flip when first side looks like the picture above

Top it off with syrup and powdered sugar :)
Enjoy!
To lighten the recipe up use: wheat bread, skim milk, egg whites, light butter, sugar free syrup, & no powdered sugar

Happy Breakfast!
Love, T
