Tonight I had fun little plans with my siblings to go get sushi and go see Les Miserables! Well...the snow kinda got in the way of those plans:/ Instead Tara and I got Mexican take out, rented a movie and played in the snow;)) The snow makes it look like day time outside, kinda confusing to be honest:) I'm looking forward to having more fun in the snow in the morning!
Happy snow days!

Yesterday I wandered around our cozy little apartment and snapped a few pics of our Christmas decor this year. Our tree is my favorite part:) When getting a real tree it's a little different every year and I always look forward to what it will look like once it has settled in after lights and ornaments sit on its branches. With only days remaining of the Christmas wait I am getting pretty dang excited! I think Burli has been liking the Christmas happenings around here:)

Welp I'm ready for Christmas! I bought my last Christmas gift today and now I am ready to spend time with family and friends. Packages have been shipped, presents wrapped and cookies are waiting in the freezer, ready to eat! I really have my fingers crossed for a white Christmas:))) I work all weekend so Monday morning can not come quick enough. Luckily I have pretty sweet patients to spend the weekend with so it's not so bad. I hope you enjoy finishing up your Santa duties!
After receiving a sweet little package wrapped in pretty paper in the mail the other day I was inspired to be creative with my Christmas card stock! If you have a small present you need to wrap and want to change up your paper a bit, grab some card stock, scissors, tape and ribbon.
Now you have a cute little package ready to go under the tree;). Of course you can do this for any occasion! Happy Wrapping! Love, T
I want to share a healthy breakfast recipe that will be sure to warm up your cold morning! I adapted this from a recipe I saw on Pinterest, I tried to "lighten" it up a bit. You will need 2 apples ( I used gala) 1/2c oats 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 1/4 cup agave nectar (you can use brown sugar, white sugar or honey) 2T light butter melted 1T cinnamon 1/2 T vanilla Pinch sea salt Honey to drizzle on top
Mix all ingredients except the apples together in a bowl and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 Cut the apples in half, scoop out the seeds and core Top the apples with the oatmeal filling mixture Drizzle with honey Bake for 30 min on greased cookie sheet Enjoy! If your apples don't want to sit still, cut the rounded part off on the bottom to make a flat surface:) Happy Friday! Love, T
MIA? Yeah that's been me:/ Unfortunately my computer is donezo! Since I got an iPad for my birthday last year, the only reason I ever got on my computer was to blog and with its recent passing I've been unable to blog;( However, I finally downloaded an app that I can now use on my iPad, yay. So here I am from my little hiatus just in time for the holidays. Its been a busy month since I've posted! Since this is my first attempt with my nifty little app I'm going to try posting now, so if you're reading this is worked! In the mean time here are a few pics from my hiatus...
Hello! My name is Tia (my friends call me T). A few things you should know about me: I'm a nurse, runner, wanna be cook, thrift finds lover and insanely in love newlywed. O yeah and I have an awesome cat named Burlington. I've decided to blog about my journey to the "balance" of my life, if the thing called balance is even obtainable (we shall see).
Between staying in touch with my old life and evolving into my new life I am enjoyning every moment, almost :) My goal is to make each day a productive or creative day, whether I knit a hat, go for a run, read a good book, cook a yummy meal, find a pretty thrift treasure, create a new healthy snack the list goes on! I'm looking forward to my journey, I hope you enjoy following me!
