The Ever Meandering Burli...

What has mister Burlington been up to?  Well other than watching birds and sleeping he went on a mini vacation to Johnny's mom's house last weekend. Johnny had to dog sit while they were out of town and I was headed to Lexington for the weekend so we didn't want Burli to be all by his lonesome, so I packed him in my jeep and took him to Madisonville:)  He is quite to travel kitty, doesn't mind the car at all.
Off to grandmother's house he goes...
here he is screaming with excitement..haha:))

while he was on vacation he napped..

and napped some more..
Than it was time to go home..

he could hardly wait to watch the birds again..

he watched the birds for hours when he got home...
other than that he has been cat napping here and there like normal:)

zzzzz...

zzz...

Such a sweeppy kitty:)
Happy Kitty:)

River Runnin'

Now that spring is here I have been able to run outside more and really enjoy it.  We moved to Indiana late last summer/early fall so I really stuck to the obvious close by routes to run on.  When the weather is this pretty I don't mind driving a bit to get to different scenery for a good run.  Running for me is definitely self therapy, my mind clears, my body thanks me and usually I end in a better mood:)  Over the past month or so I have found a couple new spots to run here but I am slightly partial to one in particular.  This little running route runs along the river for most of the run and dips through a small patch of trees with picnic tables and mini trails into the woods.  There are also parts of the path that has stairs down to the river with a small beach to have a picnic.  This trail is strictly for runners and bikers, well and doggies on leashes:)  When Johnny finishes up all of his crazy long papers for school I'm hoping we can go on a sweet little bike ride and a picnic:))  Anywho I got a little picture happy yesterday on my run, tends to happen when I'm in a good mood.  If you are a runner I hope your weather has been as nice as ours!  Congrats to all who ran Boston this week!!

I hope you enjoyed this little peak into my running adventures.  I wish each of you could run with me!
Happy Running!

Roasted Chickpeas

If you need a healthy, filling snack to munch on you are in luck;) I have seen different versions of these yummies everywhere from Pinterest to my Clean Eating Magazine, I had all the ingredients laying around so I made my own. These are very simple and very tasty!
All you need is:
1 can chickpeas
Olive oil
Spices of choice.. I used paprika, garlic, sea salt and chili powder
Preheat oven to 350
Drain chickpeas and place on greased baking sheet, spray with olive oil and season.
Bake for about 15 min or until slightly brown.
Enjoy!
Happy Snacking!

My Other Sister..

Tara and I went on a little weekend getaway to Lexington, KY to celebrate one of my dearest friends, Ashley's birthday.  We called it a joint celebration since mine was just 2 weeks ago.  Instead of buying each other gifts this year we decided to get pedicures together and enjoy each other's company:)  Great idea! So our weekend consisted of board games, shopping, grilling, dance parties and shear relaxation!  Much needed for all three of us I will say.  Ashley is such a good hostess and I am always sad to leave.  The weekend was pretty amazing to say the least.  I am already looking forward to next time:)  So here is wht we did...
