I made my mom and grandma burlap wreaths for Mother's Day and I had some leftover supplies so I decided to make myself a couple:)
You will need:
Pins or hot glue gun
Straw wreath form
For this one: simply wrap the ribbon around the wreath form and pin at the beginning and at the end.
Make your bow and pin or glue on! It is that easy!
If you do not have enough of one color to wrap the wreath you can use scraps..
Of course it is always nice to have a helper..
Here are the wreaths I made for Mother's Day..
There are lots and lots of tutorials on these types of wreaths available on Pinterest!
I rarely get to enjoy the peacefulness of early mornings. Yes I get off at 7am, but all I want to do is get to sleep ASAP! On my days off I can wake up around 9am and feel just fine but there is nothing like the light in the early morning around 6-630. So yesterday I was awakened by my hungry kitty cat at 530 and instead of heading right back to bed I decided to stay up and enjoy the morning! Johnny is usually awake to take care of poor wasting away Burlington but he was out of town yesterday so Burli hit me up right on schedule:)
I decided to enjoy breakfast outside..
Can't anyone eat in peace around here??....:)
Went inside to get him and he decided he was over it..
After a little annoyance from yours truly he changed his mind..
So far May has been quite lovely:) Days spent primarily outside are always my absolute favorite and Saturday was one of those days. Johnny and I drove down to Kentucky to enjoy the beautiful weather hanging around my parents house. Not much was planned (which is always nice) and it evolved into a perfect day. Yes I know the Kentucky Derby was going on and yes we watched the race but promptly headed back out into the fresh air! Family, bonfire, drinks, fresh air and lots of laughter makes for quite the relaxing weekend! I hope you enjoyed this beautiful weekend as much as we did!
Buddy made some margaritas for us in honor of Cinco de Mayo:)
Happy May! Per usual I am here playing catch up, one of these days I will get back into my routine of blogging and things will once again be current! That is a promise:) Since that day is not today I am here to play catch up..Here was our Easter.
Yes the Easter bunny still visits us at 30:)
Easter day was gorgeous so we spent most of the day outside playing around...
Hello! My name is Tia (my friends call me T). A few things you should know about me: I'm a nurse, runner, wanna be cook, thrift finds lover and insanely in love newlywed. O yeah and I have an awesome cat named Burlington. I've decided to blog about my journey to the "balance" of my life, if the thing called balance is even obtainable (we shall see).
Between staying in touch with my old life and evolving into my new life I am enjoyning every moment, almost :) My goal is to make each day a productive or creative day, whether I knit a hat, go for a run, read a good book, cook a yummy meal, find a pretty thrift treasure, create a new healthy snack the list goes on! I'm looking forward to my journey, I hope you enjoy following me!
