DIY: Love Letter Holder

With Valentine's day fast approaching I am sharing a sweet DIY with you today to get your heart in the mood for love:)



You will need..

1 empty coffee can

Mod Podge

paint brush

scissors

ribbon

scrap piece of fabric

Let's get started!

 

Measure circumference of the container you are using and cut the appropriate amount of strips to cover container completely, I needed 5 strips

Paint a thin layer of Mod Podge around entire container

Start pressing strips around container until entire outside it covered

Now cut out a small heart from your scrap piece of fabric

Paint a think layer of Mod Podge on the back of your heart and press onto container, once attached Mod Podge entire container and place in sun to dry..the best place in our apartment was our bed, hey whatever works:)

While the body is drying it's time to work on the lid, bend lid in half and snip a slit in center

Embelish your top if desired, I just used a piant pen for the polka dots

Ok you are finished!

Now just cut 2 different types of paper into small squares. One for you and one for your other half.  Start writing sweet memories or things your love about eachother..on Valentine's Day open it up and read eachother's love letters:)
