Blue Orleans:)

I'm back:)
I think that was the longest blog silence I've had in quite some time!  For good reason, I promise.

Johnny and I tagged along with his Dad's family on a super last minute trip to New Orleans to watch our UK Wildcats in the SEC tournament.  All within a matter of days we found out about it, decided it probably wasn't possible, changed our minds, made it work and left 6am on Thursday to begin our journey from Evansville, IN to The Big Easy!  Unfortunately our boys did not win the tournament, it would have just iced the cake of a great weekend.  Hopefully they will come out strong in the NCAA!

This was my first time in New Orleans and it was exactly what I expected and nothing like I expected all in one.  In my mind I pictured Bourbon Street exactly as it is in reality really while at the same time right around the corner is the French Quarter full of old southern charm and packed with art.  I soaked it all in, from street magicians to local artists painting new pieces of beauty right before my eyes.  I ask myself now..Why did I picture New Orleans only having one street, Bourbon St?  haha.  I must say I was pleasantly surprised.  With Kentucky fans sprinkled all over the streets and shops I felt a sense of home in this crazy city.  I snapped pics all along the way and borrowed, well stole,  a few from Addie (Johnny's little sis) and Teressa (Johnny's step mom).  Thanks girls for taking good pics!

we made it!

that's Addie, isn't she adorable!

the streets were painted blue! Kentucky fans at every corner!
