CSA Summer

This summer was our first time being Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members.  We joined VegetableLand and have been enjoying weekly shares of nutritious organic food.  I recommend giving it a try if you love veggies and are willing to give random produce a chance!  I love going each week and seeing what is in my bag of goodies!  I'm not sure if we will do it again simply because we hope to have our very own garden up and running...que to excited squeal with a side of fingers crossed:)  Here are some picture of what we got this summer...

St. Louis for the Day

This past Wednesday my Dad, brother (Nathan) and I took a mini road trip over to St. Louis, MO. Going anywhere through the week always feels like the weekend but you keep the perks of less traffic and fewer people at restaurants! Nathan is a big Cardinals fan and we have been trying to plan a trip to see a game all season but it just hadn't worked out until now:). Ideally the rest of our family could have gone too but they simply could not get off:/ So it was just dad and the twins!
We started the day checking out the arch...

Nice view from the top of the stadium!

It was a hot one! So I was shade chasing all day:)

After a couple hours in the sun we were ready for air conditioning, food and cold beer! Nathan recommended this place called Pi, it was sooo good! I highly recommend it myself!

Game time!

I was ready to catch a homer!

Unfortunately the Cards got stomped but the game was still a blast! O yeah and we had awesome seats, front row center field:)

Happy Day!

Lovin this Weather

Since the weather started to warm up it has been fabulous here in IN/KY! I've had a week off from work and I've spent lots of my time outside! Running, walks with friends, swimming, laying out and eating outside (which I seriously love to do for some reason). I'm looking forward to all the summer outdoor activities in the near future! Last night Tara, Nathan, Alex and I headed to Lake Barkley for a mini getaway:) We swam, danced, laughed (a lot) had summery drinks and relaxed! Anytime I'm with my siblings I have fun, so it's no surprise to me that I feel reenergized and refreshed after spending time with them. Johnny was gone working for 7 days and 6 nights (not that I was counting or anything) and hanging with such good company helped keep me from missing him so dang much! He got back today so I'm a happy girl:) How are you kicking off your summer?
Here's what we were up to at the lake...

The natural lighting was perfect for my instaxmini!

Tara bought us these adorable cups to drink out of! Yes, I am drinking beer with a straw. I love that they are red and blue because they will be totally awesome on the 4th next month! Thanks again Seester!

After a fun little night I woke up to yet another gorgeous day so I..

Went straight to the dock to soak up the sun, listen to some music and paint my fingernails with the most perfectly named nail polish for today..bikini so teeny!

Finished up my time at the lake with a little run for National Running Day!
I've still got a week of time off so I look forward to enjoying the outdoors!
Happy warm weather!

So Long Summer

September is here and summer is dwindling.  So long to swimming, shorts, sun dresses, ice cream (well maybe not ice cream:), and so many other summertime activities.  With fall comes bonfires, sweatshirts, changing leaves, football and fall festivals.  Fall is my favorite season of the year so I'm a tad bit excited about it! I thought I would take a few minutes to sum up my summer....

See more summer activities here, here, here, here and here!
Happy Last Days of Summer!
