Pumpkin Patch plus a Seester Weekend:)

This weekend has been full of seester time and lots of fall fun:)  Lucky for me me sister shares a love for fall and fall inspired things with me! We went to the pumpkin patch, sang karaoke, danced, talked, watched movies and football, ate chili and pumpkin pancakes and generally relaxed and just enjoyed the weather!  It was a little cool and windy but it still warranted sweatshirts, festive socks and blankets!  Now we just need a fire pit to roast marshmallows!   Here is a peak into our seester weekend..
Pumpkin Patch time....

I tried Paleo Pumpkin Pancakes for the first time and they were great!
One of the local breweries,( Tin Man Brewing) came out with a tasty fall beer, imperial pumpkin ale..if you live close to Evansville you should give it a try!

Early Morning with Burli

I rarely get to enjoy the peacefulness of early mornings.  Yes I get off at 7am, but all I want to do is get to sleep ASAP!  On my days off I can wake up around 9am and feel just fine but there is nothing like the light in the early morning around 6-630.  So yesterday I was awakened by my hungry kitty cat at 530 and instead of heading right back to bed I decided to stay up and enjoy the morning!  Johnny is usually awake to take care of poor wasting away Burlington but he was out of town yesterday so Burli hit me up right on schedule:)

I decided to enjoy breakfast outside..
Can't anyone eat in peace around here??....:)
Went inside to get him and he decided he was over it..
After a little annoyance from yours truly he changed his mind..
 Fresh air for kitty..

Happy Kitty!

Spring is that You?

I am pretty sure Mother Nature is enjoying teasing us with days that make us believe that spring weather is actually here but quickly follows with snow or a day in the 30s.  However, it seems like maybe...just maybe the spring weather is here to stay! On Sunday I went home to Kentucky for a short visit because the weather was simply to beautiful to stay inside!  I went to a cookout and all I could think of was how I didn't want to go back to my apartment and waste the rest of the day so I jumped in my Jeep and headed my parents house.  I am so glad I did because it ended up being a really lovely afternoon/evening! My mom is doing so well getting around after her total knee surgery just a few weeks ago!  She joined Tara and I outside to pick flowers, ride around in the golf cart, goof off, and go see grandma and grandpa next door:)

Happy Sunshine!
