Sweet Suds

I want to express my crush on this dress and the store it came from. First of all look at it...

Second see what I mean?
I got this beauty from the vintage shop Suds in the Bucket.  The owner is one of my close friends Leah, which makes this shop that much better.  She is kinda a vintage goddess :) visit her shop here! While you are at it check out this amazing lookbook she created here.
I'm pretty sure I was meant for an earlier time..my body just fits better in vintage. You should spend a day browsing the vintage shops on etsy yourself, you may just find a new favorite.

Happy Shopping!

Lookbook:Summer Lovin'

Well the sun came out yesterday and Leah and I got to complete our photo shoot and produce a sweet lookbook.  Leah has a new vintage line coming out in July called Suds in the Bucket.  She has a big photo shoot coming up soon but we wanted to have a mini shoot because it's just so exciting! The photo shoot featured my hair accessories, necklaces, belt and even one of my skirts!  Between the two of us we were the photographers, models, designers, and directors :) I love doing things like this with Leah because we seem to be pretty much on the same page on the look we are going for, for our products!  We had an amazing location!  The old house we shot in was exactly what we had in mind, smelly, dirty, tad bit creepy yet amazingly perfect! I think we could have shot all day and night!  Take a peak if you'd like at our mini lookbook :)

Wish I had some behind the scenes but we stayed busy with pictures for the lookbook :) You can visit my facebook page for more of my creations!

Happy Looking!

Refurbished Dress

When I got off work today I decided to go on a quick thrift trip and WOW I had some good finds!  Some days I find nothing, others I may find one thing worth buying but today I found lots of things.  I found a super great vintage dress, shoulder pads and all.  It caught my eye immediately and I thought..hmm I bet I can make that more my style. So I bought it for a whopping $3.00 and tweaked it as soon as I got home!  Added a $0.50 belt and tada a lovely dress that I will actually wear and LOVE! Check out this dresses transformation!

Just cut the sleeves off and the shoulder pads out.  Put a seam around each arm whole and added a belt!!
This dress went from...hmm that dress is different to I can't wait to have an excuse to wear it.  So just remember if you see something you really like but wish one little thing was different, if possible change it!

Happy Altering!
