Tara Tuesday: Florence+the Machine

You ever get tired of your iPod?  You know that point where you keep hitting the “skip” button and then you look down and realize you’ve skipped like 200 songs?  That tends to happen to me every once in a while.  However, Florence + the Machine has been a bit of a remedy for that.  I never get tired of their amazing music.  They’re not necessarily a new artist or anything, but they are completely underrated!!  The album “Lungs” started my love affair with them, and their most recent album “Ceremonials” simply continued it.  Florence has such a great voice and a unique personal style.  It’s like a breath of fresh air. Haha.

Some of my favorite songs include…

No Light, No Light  (probably my favorite song of theirs!!)

There are many more, but those are just my personal favorites!  Also, just for fun here is a cover they did of the Drake song “Take Care.” It’s actually quite good :)  Hope this inspired you to do a quick, little iPod makeover!!

See you guys later,
Tara.

O my Gawwww..

So I am sitting here, yes at 4:40am, browsing all of my favorite blogs and finding some really great new ones and all that is on is infomercials..boo!  I started to scan the stations and ended up on MTV which actually had music videos on, I know pretty rare :) Any who one video caught my attention which led to a 30 min browse of YouTube.  So who caught my ear?? Karmin. They are a duet, Amy & Nick. Pretty neato sound and her style is quite delightful :) Check out this cover of a Chris Brown ft Lil Wayne song!  The video that was on that caught my ear was..Crash Your Party. You can find out more about them here!

Happy Listening!

Music to My Ears

We are putting our new record player to use for the first time today and we are loving it!  Not only does it play records, it plays cds, tapes, am/fm radio and we can plug our ipods into it.  This afternoon Johnny and I went to a local shop that sells records and found a few more for our growing collection.  It's a neat little store called Grandpa's swap shop and it is just that. I'm sure we will be visiting it many times in the future.  Snapped a few pics in the record room :)

Along with our Frank Sinatra and Johnny Cash finds I decided to take Tara's advice from her music post and bought some Nat King Cole.

Happy Listening!
