Bulky Food

Johnny and I came to my parents house today to celebrate my dad's birthday (a little belated) & to watch UK play ball. Yes, they won! Mom and I decided to take a little journey down to a local bulk food store that we have been visiting since I can remember. It's Yoder Bulk Foods in Sebree, KY. There is a sweet husband/wife duo who run this little shop. My very favorite thing to buy there is the cheese;) yummy. O and their yogurt covered pretzels and raisins, I just can't resist them;) I also really enjoy their hand wrapped packaging. Mom treated me to a pretty handkerchief. If you are from this area you should drop by their little store and pick up some goodies. They have spices, pastas, nuts, cheeses & much more! Don't forget your cash bc that's all they accept;)

DIY: Purty Little Gift Bag

The other day Johnny and I went to pick up my dad's birthday gift and when we got home realized the only wrapping I had here at home was Christmas stuff.  So the bag the store gave us would have worked if it didn't have their logo posted all over it.  I really didn't want to go back out into the cold so I decided I would work with what was available.  I simply embellished the bag I already had! Here is an easy DIY you can do next time you are in the same predicament:)
You will need..
1 bag
Scissors
Paper ( used card stock)
Mod Podge
Paint pens or Markers

1. CUT your paper in the shape and size you want to cover the logo..

2. DECORATE your bag with markers of paint pens..
3. MOD PODGE a thin coat over entire surface of bag..

Let dry and you are finished, add tissue paper and gift away!

Happy Wrapping!

Are Those Brownies?

Pinterest is well, addicting, but just a tad:)  It is filled with ideas and inspiration.  Johnny and I were craving something "sweet" the other day so I started scanning through Pinterest for inspiration that wouldn't destroy our new quest of health.  I came across these 99 calorie brownies and had to give them a whirl.  See what other yummy things I have pinned here. Now they don't taste quite like full blown brownie goodness but they are definitely worth the cut in calories from 295 to 99!  Click here for the recipe!

I did add some "icing" well more like melted milk chocolate chips but they functioned just the same.  Take a serving, which was 33 chips for 80 calories for the Target brand (may vary a tad) and sprinkle on top of warm brownies...
Once the chocolate chips start to get soft spread with a knife..

Now you are ready to enjoy!

Make Your Own Moccasins

As I was browsing some of my favorite blogs the other day I stumbled across an amazing idea over at Just Lovely Things.  She found a homemade moccasin kit and embellished it.  Since my sister was coming up the next day I knew it had to be added to our seester's day! See her post here. See our little moccasin session below!

Tara left it simple and I added a little lace to mine!

Just Mod Podge it right on:)

Tara Tuesday: DIY: Hair Band

Hello there “Cup of T” readers!! It’s me again, here with a cute hair DIY :)  Today we are going to do a neat little hair band, with a twist... Literally. Haha.
1.       Start out with a section of hair right above your ear.

2.       Split the section into two equal parts and begin to twist your hair. (However, as you twist, pull your hair up with it, so it will lay better on your head.)

3.       Continue to twist your hair, as you pull it across the top of your head.

4.       Now, simply pin down the end of the twist, and enjoy your cute and easy hair style!!!

See you guys later,
Tara.

Happy Birthday Dad!!

Just wanted to say....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!
