3rd Anniversary Pictures

Just wanted to share a few of our anniversary pictures with you!  Considering we dropped the ball last year and never got any taken I knew I didn't want to let time slip away again!  When our first anniversary came around I decided I wanted to keep a scrapbook of our anniversary and significant events:) Sooo Johnny agreed to participate in a yearly anniversary photo-shoot with me!  This means so much to me because I know he is NOT a fan of getting pictures taken at all.  I on the other hand am obsessed with pictures in general.  I look forward to flipping through our little scrapbook in 20 years and remembering that time in our lives:)

Lately....

Happy October everyone! October is my absolute favorite month of the year so I'm a pretty happy girl today:) September was a busy month! I've been kinda scarce over here but I'm hoping to get back into the groove of blogging now that I'm settled into school stuff and computer training is over at work:) Figured I'd just do a quick "lately" post..sooo...here's what's been going on lately...






Went to Lexington for a wedding and got to stay with one of my favorite friends the night before!!





We played games:)

Celebrated Johnny finishing grad school!!!! YAY!!!!

New Car!

We got a new car! Eek! It's been a long time since I've said those words. About a month ago Johnny and I began the search for a new vehicle for Johnny, it was time for a new ride! His main concern was getting a car with good gas mileage. We had narrowed it down to the ford focus sedan or hatchback and the Toyota Prius. We loved the Prius but with trying to save for a house (yay) we decided we needed to get something a little cheaper so we found a 2012 Ford Focus, with low miles, we wanted to test drive. We headed to Owensboro in hopes we had found our new car. After seeing it in person and test driving it, we decided it just wasn't for us. This car was at a Hyundai dealership, since it was used, so we decided to look around the lot and quickly found 3 or 4 cars we really liked. I'd never really thought about Hyundai before to be honest, so I checked it online as we test drove our favorite on the lot, liked what I saw online, and we loved the way it drove, the avg 40 mpg and the price;) A couple hours later we were the proud new owners of a new 2013 Hyundai Accent Hatchback!



We celebrated with a date to get sushi and frozen yogurt!


Johnny was sad to see his old truck go but he is quickly getting used to the change!

New Running Buddy

For the past month and a half or so Johnny and I have been running 2-3 times a week. Running is one of my very favorite outdoor activities and now that Johnny comes along I love it even more! I am loving my newest running buddy:) Johnny has some knee problems that have always prevented him from picking running up. He's been taking glucosamine and we have gradually increased our distance. I think last time we tried this he did too much too quick. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he is able to continue. I am running my first obstacle mud run in 2 weeks with a few of my close friends and I can not wait! It's been awhile since I've ran in an organized run so I'm getting pretty stinkin excited! I snapped a few pics during our chilly running sessions...

Happy Valentine's Day

Hopefully you enjoyed a nice day filled with love from family, friends and loved ones:). I have very fond childhood memories of Valentine's day because my mom always made holidays so special with cute decorations and little treats. We always made homemade cards for the kids in our class, which to this day I love making and getting handmade cards! So while I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day I am a fan of festive happenings! This Valentine's Day has been pretty sweet for me:) Started with a love inspired breakfast whipped up by Johnny. I worked on a love inspired DIY I will share with you tomorrow! Sushi for lunch followed by a red velvet Gigi's cupcake (yum). We took advantage of the purty weather and went for a run by the river and juiced when we got back. Finished the evening with dinner in and Netflix!


















Since we had that we had to do this....haha...but seriously...

Johnny is 29!

Today is my sweet husbands birthday:) He is the ripe ole age of 29! I'm looking forward to celebrating with him this weekend. He had amazing weather for his birthday (64 & sunny) so we took advantage and went for a run by the river, did a little birthday shopping and grabbed an iced drink at Starbucks.









Burli enjoyed the sun today too;)






He liked Johnny's shoe box too:)
